Wheels For The World

This is a branch of Joni and Friends' Ministries and does several wheelchair distributions in other countries each year. Teams of volunteer occupational and physical therapists, mechanics, and photographers are needed to help fit wheelchairs to people with a variety of special needs. Wheelchair distributions occur in Peru, Romania, Poland, China, Ghana, Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba, and Vietnam. Trips are generally 7-12 days long. Each team member is responsible for funding their own expenses for the trip, though arrangements are made through Joni and Friends.
