Wheelchair Collection

Blackhawk Ministries' Disability Ministry volunteers are collecting used manual wheelchairs for Wheels for the World, a ministry of Joni and Friends. We collect used but serviceable manual wheelchairs, folding walkers, metal crutches and canes. Extra parts such as footrests, armrests, etc. are welcome donations as well. Wheelchairs are restored to like new condition by prisoners in correctional facilities, then sent to needy people in other countries. When permissible, recipients are also given a Bible in their own language.

Wheelchairs can be dropped off at Blackhawk Ministries' north campus front desk between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Click here for directions.
