People with special needs are . . . people. We are more alike than we are different. God made us all for the same reason - to bring honor to Him. People with disabilities teach us things that we would otherwise miss. We need them as much as they need us. We need each other for the body of Christ to be complete, to better serve our God - together.
People with special needs are welcome at Blackhawk Ministries and can attend wherever their needs are best met! This may be in the regular Worship Service, ABF, or in the Friendship Class.
There are a variety of opportunities to participate in the Disability Ministry, whoever you may be. We all learn things from people with special needs and we all need each other to function properly in the body of Christ. Regardless of our strengths and weaknesses, our IQ, our physical abilities or our appearance, we are all of equal worth to God. Each of us is valuable enough to Him that He died for us.

“The way God designed our bodies is a model for understanding our lives together as a church: every part dependent on every other part, the parts we mention and the parts we don’t, the parts we see and the parts we don’t. If one part hurts, every other part is involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one part flourishes, every other part enters into the exuberance" (1 Corinthians 12:26 - The Message).
