our response to who God is and what He’s up to in our lives.

At Blackhawk Ministries we worship God in a variety of ways every time we gather together. Because of its significance in Scripture (namely, the Psalms) and because God commands us to, we usually use SONG in some form or fashion when we worship. Hopefully this webpage enhances your Blackhawk worship experience in two ways: by getting familiar with our worship playlist and by understanding what the Bible says about worship.

PLAYLIST – When we gather at Blackhawk we try our best to sing truthfully, simultaneously, authentically and worshipfully – all of which can be a bit difficult if you aren’t familiar with the songs we’re singing. Since God has inspired literally millions of songs over the ages, we thought it would benefit you to know which songs our church family is currently singing. Below you’ll find about a dozen songs we’re using on a regular basis in our Sunday Morning Worship Gatherings.

CHALK TALKS – Worship is a broad and beautiful scriptural concept – so much more than merely a genre in the iTunes playlist. Below you’ll find videos of Korban’s “Chalk Talks”. Each one illustrates a different biblical principle about worship and/or music and how God designed it to be used in the Church today. We will try our best to keep these talks up-to-date. As they’re added, we hope they help form a more biblically-centered philosophy of worship.
