ELEMENTAL - GOD'S DESIGN FOR THE LIFE OF A DISCIPLE

The word Element is a scientific term having to do with the specific properties of matter. In other words if you're tying to produce salt or sugar or water there are certain elements that must be present in order for that substance to be realized.

Take water for instance - unless you have the elements of oxygen and hydrogen present you won’t have water. In fact if you take the oxygen away from the equation you're left with just hydrogen (something absolutely contrary to water) with it's dangerous, volatile and explosive make up.

Bottom line - without the right Elements, you never get to experience the fullness of what God has called you to be!

Here is our point - if what we are interested in is a substance called a true follower of Christ then there are questions we need to ask.

What are the Elements that must be present for that substance to be realized? What specific Elements comprise a genuine disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ? What Elements must be in the mix in an effort to produce a true follower of Christ?

At Blackhawk in recent days we have discovered 5 Elements from the Scriptures that seem to characterize those that followed the Lord and those that comprised that very first church. Join us in our Sunday morning gatherings as we study and discuss these 5 Elements in our on going journey to be the people and the church God has designed us to be.
